For the grand finale of the Fabrico Próprio exhibition, we had the visit of the senior students of the Advances Confectionery Course at the Óbidos Hoteling and Tourism School. These same students took part, under the guidance of master baker Paulo Santos, in the making of the exhibited prototypes. And some company they had! They brought to the tasting Finger Mil-Folhas and Papiros, two of the suggestions made during the workshop. Now that the exhibition came to an end, we just need to spread these new cakes in cake shops all over Portugal. For that we count on the support of master Paulo Santos, to perfect what is left to to improve in the recipes, and on Ferneto, who soon will let us know to prepare these delicacies. In the meantime, we hope the trend will be followed, so whoever had the chance to visit the exhibition and pick a favourite cake, you can now ask for it time and again at the counter of your favourite cake shop or café! Remember the confectionary motto: “we make what the counter asks!”
