Born in 1978 in Porto, she graduated in graphic design from the Central Saint Martin’s College of Art & Design in London. The decision to return to Portugal, after living in London and working as an illustrator for various international publications (such as Lab magazine and Bossa Brasileira), was never put aside.
João Fazenda is a Portuguese illustrator, whose practice splits between illustration, drawing, animation, comics and occasionally painting. He studied graphic design and graduated in Fine Arts from the Lisbon Faculty of Arts, before going on to dedicate himself full time to creating images for a variety of stories and media. In his work he aims to explore the endless relationship between drawing and narrative in its many ways. He lives and works between London and Lisbon.
Born in Angola in 1973, lives and works in Porto.
He holds a PhD in Art and Design (Illustration), a Master’s degree in Multimedia Art and a degree in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP). He is currently an Assistant Professor at FBAUP.
As an artist and illustrator he has exhibited regularly in solo and group shows, having also been co-founder and curator of the gallery Dama Aflita, in Porto, between 2008 and 2016.

Communication strategist, art director, author, entrepreneur, father, researcher, and Mozambican artist. His tasks encompass drawing, film, sculpture, writing, reflection, editing and publishing of books, the creation of a kakigōri (Japanese chipped ice) store, co-creation of the Caixa Negra film group, and editorial support for African artists.
