The last 5 copies of the Fabrico Próprio book will be on sale in New York from this week!
We are very proud to be part of the exhibition of Portuguese products selected by Alisa Grifo and the Marco Romeny (who have become good friends of the project!) for their shop, KIOSK. The exhibition will be on show until the end of February 2010. The opening party is already on Thursday, June 5, from 19 to 22h.

This is really the last chance to buy our book, but it’s not the end of the project.
We haven’t given up on making a—revised and expanded—second edition of our book; we just need a publisher who believes and wants to invest in the Fabrico Próprio project. If you work at, or know of, a publisher who would like to join us in what could be a new and exciting adventure, please contact us.
We have also done a major update to our website; on the right-hand column you can find links to the our workshop, exhibition, cakes in Lisbon and the designs of new, Portuguese semi-industrial confectionary cakes.

Fabrico Próprio will soon be the subject of an article in california-based magazine Gastronomica; our essay “The Design of Portuguese Semi-Industrial Confectionery” will be published in THERE, the College of the Design of the University of Minnesota’s the design journal.
