Por sugestão da historiadora Marina Tavares Dias, procurámos e encontrámos o filme de 1956 High Society, onde pudemos ver o Frank Sinatra e o Bing Crosby a dançar e cantar sobre… bolos. Fazemos este post agora porque, tal como em Portugal, na América um bom Bábá (au Rhum) é digno de estrelato. O Frederico mudou-se no fim de Agosto para Nova Iorque, onde já começou o mestrado “Design Criticism” na School of Visual Arts. Entre outras coisas vai verificar se os babás em Nova Iorque são o que eram em 1956…

Following a suggestion from historian Marina Tavares Dias, we searched and found the 1956 movie High Society, where we were able to see Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby dancing and singing about… cakes. We only now publish this post because, like in Portugal, in America a good Baba ah Rhum is worthy of stardom. Frederico moved in the end of August to New York, where he has already started the Design Criticism master programme at the School of Visual Arts. Among other things, he’ll check if New York babás are still what they were singing about in 1956…
